Admission Committee
The Admissions Committee has the following specific objectives:
- The Admissions Committee has direct responsibility and final authority for determiningwho isadmittedtoDMPG College.Itdeterminesthemosteffectivemethodology for evaluating applications.
- The Admissions Committee is responsible for assuring compliancewith the admissionspoliciesandpractices.
- The Admissions Committee is responsible for charging subcommittees as are necessary to carry out its missions and to study or implement such programsor policies that would promote itsmission.
- Admission Committee may need to be reminded that general admissions criteria should be based upon positive factors found in many of their current and previous student’s qualifications.
- Regular planning meetings should be scheduled and attended by all committee and staff members involved in the admissions process for all programs.
Sports Committee
Objective:
To provide healthy leisure time for every DMPG College students.
Role and Responsibility:
- Coordination with the Student Sports Secretary:
- Keeping stock of previous and current years’ sports goods.
- Ordering sports goods in consultation with the Office Superintendent.
- Arranging the venues for sports events in consultation with the Office Superintendent.
- Drawing lots for various sports.
- Coordination with the Principal:
- Obtaining permission to hold sports events in the college campus.
- To recommend students for permission to participate in the intra-or inter-college events.
- To recommend sanction for Entry/Registration Fees to participate in various sports events.
- To recommend attendance to students who have taken part in sports events.
- Sort out any issues taking place during matches (team selections, objections, quarrels etc.).
- Maintaining discipline in all events happening in and outside the college.
- Holding sports events for staff members.
- Maintaining records of sports events attended by students outside the college, within the University and outside. This is especially important from the Annual Day point of view, as the information is required for the Principal’s Report and Prize Distribution Ceremony.
- The schedule of events for the whole academic year shall be finalized well in advance in consultation with the Students’ Sports Committee.
Research and Development Cell;
Objective:
- To foster Innovation and Research that will lead to competitive development.
- To establish our college as a Centre for Excellence in Innovation, through an interdisciplinary approach.
- To create opportunities for college students to build their Academic Profile for a successful career.
- To enhance productivity in our youth and channel their intellect to improvise and invent for the benefit of society.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Organizing National and International Conferences.
- Organizing Short Term Training Programs and workshops.
- Arranging seminars on paper presentation techniques for faculty and students, designed to meet international standards.
- Inculcate the concept of research among students & staff by arranging paper presentation competitions.
- Encourage publication of research articles by sending deserving entries to journals.
- Identifying members of the faculty who have are orientation towards research activities.
Women Development Cell
Objective:
- To create social awareness about the problems of women and in particular regarding gender discrimination.
- To encourage participation of NGOs working in the area of women’s development in the activities of the Cell.
- students, teachers, non-teaching staff for their active and sustained participation in the activities of Cell.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide a forum for discussion and interaction with eminent ladies
- Coordinate Women’s Day celebrations.
- Organize Seminars on women and Indian culture in matters of dressing, festivals, traditions.
- Organize classes for training on recipes, interior decoration other interests among women
- Arrange confidential counselling sessions
- To organize various types of training programmes and create awareness about self-employment schemes for the encouragement of self-reliance among women.
- Any other duties the Director / Principal may assign.
Training and Placement Committee
Objective:
To help students to prepare for placement interviews/higher studies and help them to choose an appropriate organization.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of an attractive and comprehensive Placement Brochure.
- Maintaining and regularly updating Database of Students.
- Maintaining Database of Companies and establishing strategic links for campus recruitments.
- Gathering information about Job fairs and all relevant recruitment advertisements.
- Coordinating with companies to learn about their recruitment procedures.
- Identifying the needs and expectations of the companies to assist them in recruiting the most suitable candidates.
- Organizing pre-placement training for students (Soft Skills, Dress Codes, Mock Interviews).
- Arranging periodic meetings with Human Resources Departments and TPO’s of companies to promote our Institute.
- Collecting feedback from employers where our students are placed.
- Any other duties the Director / Principal may assign.
Cultural Committee:
Objective:
To promote and arrange extracurricular activities to bring out the talents of students in the performing arts.
Role and Responsibility:
- The Cultural Committee shall be responsible for all intra and inter collegiate cultural events in the College.
- To plan and schedule cultural events for the academic year. (Tentative dates to be included in the academic calendar of the institute.)
- To prepare budget for all cultural events and take necessary steps for its approval.
- The Convener of the committee shall conduct a meeting of the committee to discuss and delegate task.
- Procedure to organize cultural events:
- To prepare the Annual Budget for various cultural event.
- To obtain formal permission from the College authorities to arrange program.
- To decide the date, time and agenda of the program.
- To inform members of staff and students about the event.
- To arrange the venue and logistics (audio/video system, dais, podium etc).
- To invite the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
- To arrange mementos for guests and gifts/certificates for the participants.
- The committee shall display on the Notice Board/Website information about festivals to be celebrate.
- Events arranged for students in coordination with ‘Students Cultural Committee’ are.
- Fresher’s Day.
- Teachers’ Day.
- Festival Celebrations.
- National Science Day.
- Annual Day(Pragati).
- The Cultural Committee shall also be responsible for organizing the following events :
- Independence Day.
- Republic Day.
- Women’s Day.
- Founder’s Day.
- To prepare and maintain records of all cultural activities.
- Any other duties the Director / Principal may assign.
Library Committee:
Objective:
The purpose of the Library Committee is to act as a channel of communication between the Institute Library and its users. It shall assist in developing operational procedures, suggest various measures for improvement and development of the library resources and formulate both personnel and fiscal policies. It shall strive to inculcate the enriching habit of reading books in a technologically enabled and intellectual atmosphere.
Role and Responsibility:

Alumni Committee:
Objective:
The Alumni Committee establishes contact with alumni who are committed to promoting the welfare of their alma mater, supporting its traditions and goals and enhancing the Institute’s fame locally and globally. It shall coordinate meets to perpetuate friendships formed in collegiate years and organize programs that instill a sense of belonging and pride in the alumni.
Role and Responsibilities:
- To plan and organise alumni meet and maintain its records.
- Create cell phone app to maintain / update alumni data.
- Creating alumni directory and networking.
- Capturing email/SMS contact so that we can greet alumni on birthdays, intimate about meets, college events, conferences etc.
- Getting information about special achievements by alumni.
- Fetching alumni feedback on various matters.
- Enhance alumni involvement in college activities by receiving inputs; organize frequent seminars to promote alumni involvement in placement, career counselling, teaching pedagogy, guest lectures, projects, endowments etc.
- College infrastructural facilities (Library/ Sports/Conference Halls/ Canteen etc.) may be made available to alumni for various purposes.
- Explore and implement the efforts put in by other national/international institutes to develop alumni associations.
Examination Cell:
Objective:
To conduct Internal Assessment and External Assessment Examination related all work as per University notifications and ordinance.
Role and Responsibility:
- The Exam Cell shall distribute the Exam Forms of the University of Mahatma Ghandhi Kashi Vidyapith to regular students (the fees for the same are collected as part of the college fees) and collect them back after having them duly filled in. After verification, the Exam Cell shall forward the same to the University within the stipulated time period.
- The Examination Committee shall prepare relevant time tables for our College based on the Examination Time Table of the University.
- The Examination Committee shall make the Block and Seating Arrangement and display them on the concerned Notice Board/Website and Blocks.
- Though the teaching faculty is entitled to vacation if eligible, it is expected that they are available for examination duty at least for two weeks. Hence they shall give their vacation preference dates to the Exam Committee in the specified format.
- The Exam Committee shall prepare and display an overall Supervision Duty List as well as Daily Supervision Duty List on the Staff Notice
- The Exam Committee shall ensure that adequate stationery, like answer sheets, drawing sheets, charts, graph paper, drawing boards, trays, threads, water jugs etc. are made available.
- The Exam Committee shall hold a pre-exam meeting to brief the members of faculty with regard to the examination procedures and the role and responsibilities of a report of same shall be submitted to the Principal.
- Committee should collect examiners names for assessment and moderation of each subject from respective HODs.
- The EI along with Exam Cell shall be in touch with the University for obtaining necessary approvals on time.
- All the results (First Year to Final Year) shall be displayed on the respective student Notice Boards/College Website after 4pm. A copy of the same shall be sent to the respective HODs.
- Preparation of smooth conduct of Examinations, preparation of time – table schedules, Invigilation duty chart, Seat allotment in the Examination halls etc.
- To ensure that the entire exam related documents reach the university in time.
- To conduct Internal Assessment examination as per academic calendar.
- Distribution of marks lists to the students after the results of various examinations received from the University.
- Any Circular, Guideline, Office Order, Notification received by the University are processed in the Examination Cell, reply thereof prepared and after Principal’s signature dispatched or circulates to the concerned Departments / Students.
IT Cell:
Objective:
The ultimate objective of the IT Cell shall be to put DMPG College at the top of the list of the most searched for colleges on the map of global education.
Role and Responsibility:
- Develop, update and enhance the accessibility of the Internal and External Websites to benefit all existing and prospective members of the institution.
- Coordinate efforts to design a creative and flexible website while maintaining current and relevant content for the website and increasing the usability. .
- Study websites of other leading educational institutes and incorporate suitable and innovative modifications such as including Campus Diary / Weekly activities etc. .
- Use the latest technology to enable online registration and payment of fees, online submission of all application forms. .
- Set up a mechanism for timely update of data.
- Manage the College Management Information System.
- Manage Staff and Students Smart I Cards.
- Manage Biometric Attendance System of Staff and Students.
Grievance Redressal Cell:
The Grievance Redressal Cell attempts to address genuine problems and complaints of students whatever be the nature of the problem. Students are encouraged to use the suggestion boxes placed on different sections of the campus to express constructive suggestions and grievances. They may also approach the members of the cell or any of their other teachers as is comfortable to them.
